What is KVMs and Blade Servers
What is KVM? What are blade servers? Are the two related somehow? No, this is not a horror story of science fiction. This is the story about server blade. Most of you know servers. In essence, the server machines are designed to fill a very specific function in a network. Some internal applications, others are used exclusively to store information, and others can manage incoming and outgoing e-mails.
However, there is a special type of server today, which is different from that of a standard rectangular box that is on the floor and slips easily into a rack. This means that the blades. The blade is thin and fits in a standard server rack, 19 inches. The server itself on a single card and is usually stored in blade servers. The leaves are thin (hence the name) and reduce the number of son in and out of the gate (and the real map). Many will, no external power, as in a framework that uses its own power supply is mounted.Like a leaf has no source of energy is a big selling point in many cases. Remember that in this way. A personal computer components that can potentially fail, the power supply. When this component fails, we risk losing important data, just because your energy source was the ghost of you. When the blade is attached to the grid, the device must fail in the bay, before something goes wrong, data.
So what is a KVM and why bother? KVM for keyboard, monitor and mouse. Okay, engineers, leaves are not as good with the good with the abbreviations are invented. They are engineers. In fact, the V is for video, because it can have multiple monitors with a video port. KVM are important because they connect to blade servers to connect, configure, online, offline, and a number of other administrative tasks.
KVM and shovels to work well together and are almost useless if they are separated.Together, they will be able to support server for the network community.

Currently I work for Dell and I think your blog on What is KVMs and Blade Servers
ReplyDeleteis really informative. In my opinion, blade server is a server chassis housing multiple thin, modular electronic circuit boards, known as server blades.
